One link, any device.

Turn the Companion on once in Tellie's Settings on your Mac, and it shows you a link. Open that link on a phone, tablet, or second laptop that shares your Wi-Fi, and the device becomes a console with three views you can switch between: a quiet status readout, a checklist of the points you mean to hit, and the full prompter with your script scrolling in step with your Mac.

Because your Mac is doing the work, the device only has to show the page. There is nothing to install on it, no account to make, and no setup beyond opening a link on the same network.

A beam-splitter view for any camera.

This is the reason the Companion exists: a screen you can put right next to the lens. Stand an iPhone or iPad on a beam-splitter rig, or just prop it beside your camera, and read while you look straight down the barrel. Your eyes stay on the lens, so on the recording you are talking to the person watching, not glancing off to one side. It works as a teleprompter app for iPad with iPhone remote in the same set, or the reverse, whatever devices you have to hand.

The Companion is not just a mirror. From the device you can play and pause, restart the take, jump to any section, and turn Voice Follow on or off, all without touching the Mac. Set the shot, step back to your mark, and run the whole thing from your phone. If someone is helping you, hand them the link and let them drive while you present.

Private by design, not a cloud teleprompter.

The link only works on your own local Wi-Fi. Your script and your voice stay on your Mac and travel to the device across your own network, never through anyone's servers. The pop-out prompter window is invisible to screen sharing and recording, the same as the notch, so a checklist on your second screen stays yours alone.

To be clear about what this is not: if you want a browser tool with nothing installed anywhere, running entirely in the cloud, this is not that. The Companion needs a Mac running Tellie to be the brain. That is the trade that keeps everything on your own devices.
